Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is a beloved American casual dining eatery with 40 locations across 8 states: California, Florida, Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia and Virginia. Founded in 2003 by Chris Simms, Gabe Caliendo, Steve Price, and Roshan Mendis, the establishment was originally going to be named Rocky Mountain Cafe but received its unique name because Chris wanted the restaurant to be more kid-friendly with its hound-themed decorations, eclectic menu, and even dog-print seats. Lazy Dog has been praised for its cozy atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. In 2019, Daily Herald critic Jennifer Billock wrote, "On the whole, we had an excellent time at Lazy Dog".
