Hoàn Kiếm Lake sits in the heart of Hanoi and feels like a tranquil escape, even with busy kids. They'll love spotting the ducks and you'll love the break from watching them on the busy streets of Hanoi!

You can walk the full loop around the lake in 20 to 30 minutes, but allow extra time to cross into Ngoc Son Temple via the red wooden bridge, which requires a low cost ticket. On weekend evenings parts of the area become pedestrian-only and turn into a busy walking street with vendors and souvenirs, which is really nice when exploring with kids.
