The Tenement Museum in NYC is like stepping back in time, into the homes of immigrants who have shaped New York City. Faithfully recreated tenement apartments tell the stories of immigrants from the 1860s-1980s who came to the Lower East Side from all over the world. This is one of the most memorable museum experiences, I've visited twice!
