Karnak Temple is the largest religious complex ever built and one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in Egypt. For nearly 2,000 years, successive pharaohs expanded the complex, adding temples, obelisks, courtyards, and sanctuaries dedicated to the gods of Ancient Egypt, particularly Amun-Ra.

One of the most remarkable features is the Great Hypostyle Hall, commissioned by Seti I and completed by Ramses II. This monumental hall contains 134 massive sandstone columns, some reaching over 20 metres in height. Walking through this forest of columns gives an unparalleled sense of the scale, power, and artistic skill of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Recommended Visit Time: 1.5–2.5 hours
🎟️ Entry fee: Paid (ticket required)
📸 Best photo spot: The central pathway between the tallest columns.
🔍 Details to notice: Ancient hieroglyphs, carved reliefs, and traces of original colours.

💡 Traveller Addicted Tip: Explore every corner of the hall and look up frequently—each section reveals unique carvings, inscriptions, and perspectives that many visitors miss.
