Dolomites Guide for Hiking Lovers

What you'll do

In the Dolomites you'll find some beautiful and diverse hiking trails; meandering through wildflower meadows, exploring alpine forests, climbing cliff-sides, and summiting stunning peaks. In this guide I want to share some of my favourite hikes that you should not miss on your trip to the Dolomites.

Day 1

On your first day you will climb to the Vajolet Towers, a classic hike in the Catinaccio Group, a must for all hikers who visit this area. The fantastic view of the refuge and the towers that you experience here look like the masterpiece of a painter. The journey starts in Vigo di Fassa and the hike takes around 1-2 hours to reach the top.

The Vajolet Towers

Wycieczka

The Vajolet Towers and its charming little mountain hut is the perfect getaway....

One of the most beautiful hikes to do in the Dolomites is the one that leads to the Torri del Vajolet via the Gardeccia, Vajolet and Re Alberto refuges.

The best way to reach the Vajolet Towers is to take start in Vigo di Fassa taking the chairlift "la funivia del Ciampedie". Arrived at the top you'll follow signs for Rifugio Gardeccia and continue on towards Rifugio Vajolet. The last part of the hike is pretty steep but luckily, it's the final section of the hike.
