Perfect quiet photo opportunity and pleasant short walk from the parking area with coastal views near Yase Cliff.

Overview

Yoshitsune’s Boat Hiding Place is a narrow sea inlet located on the Noto Kongo Coast in Ishikawa Prefecture. According to legend, Minamoto no Yoshitsune and his followers concealed their boats here while fleeing from pursuers during the late 12th century. The inlet's shape and surrounding cliffs provide natural concealment from the open sea.

Features

  • The inlet is approximately 100 meters deep, with steep, rocky cliffs on either side.

  • The surrounding area includes a walking trail that offers views of the Sea of Japan and connects to nearby coastal features.

  • The site is part of the Noto Kongo Quasi-National Park, known for its rugged coastline and scenic beauty.

Access

The site is accessible via a walking path from a nearby parking area. The trail includes uneven terrain and may require careful footing.
