Kaldbakur is the tallest mountain in the Westfjords region, standing at 998 meters high. It's part of the Westfjords Alps, a range of pointy mountains that offer stunning views over the surrounding area. Hiking up Kaldbakur is relatively easy in good conditions, and you can reach the summit in about 4 hours from the mountain pass Kvennaskarð Just make sure you're well-equipped.
