IT🇮🇹 Uno dei posti migliori da dove osservare il magnifico Golden Gate Bridge è sicuramente Battery Spencer. Situato dalla sponda nord della baia, per raggiungerlo è necessario attraversare il ponte... ma d'altronde è impossibile lasciare la città sulla baia senza prima aver percorso la sua icona rossa! Il Golden Gate Bridge è percorribile a piedi, in bici e in auto. Noi lo abbiamo attraversato in auto. Attualmente il pedaggio per attraversarlo da nord (cioè entrando a San Francisco) è di 8,75$, da sud (uscendo dalla città) è gratis - quindi pagherete solo una tratta. Va premesso che in California e Stati limitrofi le autostrade sono gratuite (ad eccezione di alcuni tratti soprattutto tra Los Angeles e San Diego) perciò, sapendo questo, al momento del ritiro dell'auto noleggiata non abbiamo aggiunto l'opzione FasTrak. Per pagare online il pedaggio del Golden Gate è stato sufficiente andare sul sito https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/tolls/one-time-payment e inserire i dati della vettura. Il pagamento può essere processato entro le 48 ore dopo l'attraversamento del ponte ma anche in maniera preventiva al massimo 30 giorni prima. Tornando a Battery Spencer, la vista da qui è a dir poco incredibile... come le raffiche di vento! Copritevi!

EN🇬🇧 One of the best places to observe the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge is definitely Battery Spencer. Located on the north shore of the bay, to reach it you need to cross the bridge... but then again, it's impossible to leave the city on the bay without first walking through its red icon! The Golden Gate Bridge is passable on foot, by bike and by car. We crossed it by car. Currently the toll to cross it from the north (i.e. entering San Francisco) is $8.75, from the south (leaving the city) it's free - so you'll only pay one way. It must be said that in California and neighboring states the highways are free (with the exception of some stretches, especially between Los Angeles and San Diego) therefore, knowing this, when picking up the rental car we did not add the FasTrak option. To pay the Golden Gate toll online, it was sufficient to go to the website https://www.bayareafastrak.org/en/tolls/one-time-payment and enter the vehicle details. Payment can be processed within 48 hours after crossing the bridge but also in a preventive manner at most 30 days before.
