Saxer Lücke is a popular hike in the Appenzell region known for its stunning views and Instagram-worthy photo ops. The trail starts with a scenic cable car ride to Staubern, followed by a moderate 1-hour hike to the Saxer Lücke viewpoint. For those feeling adventurous, there's an optional detour to the beautiful Fälensee lake where you can indulge in the best Rösti in Switzerland at Berggasthaus Bollenwees.

Just an aside, my phone was not in airplane and on this particular hike, my phone charged me for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. (Then Liechtenstein while we were driving out) Just be aware and have your phone in airplane mode!
