You can explore the castle grounds for free, enjoy picnics under blooming trees. Or visit the castle from the inside to get a better insight of the Edo Period.

Tenma is a bustling neighborhood in Osaka, known as the "kitchen of Japan." It's the go-to spot for locals looking to indulge in delicious and affordable food. With narrow alleys lined with izakaya (Japanese pubs) and small restaurants, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant dining scene. Don't forget to explore nearby attractions like Osaka Temmangu Shrine and Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street for a full culinary experience in this lively area.

Tsutenkaku Tower in Osaka's Shinsekai district is a classic steel structure with a vibrant history. Standing at 100 meters tall, it may not be the tallest tower around, but it's got character! You can head to the top for a cool city view and check out the quirky Billiken good luck charm statue. There's also a fun slide on the side which adds to the adventure.

Namba Yasaka Shrine in Osaka is a cool spot to check out if you're in the Namba district. The shrine's main attraction is a giant lion head-shaped building that supposedly swallows up evil spirits, leaving you with good luck.

Dotonbori is Osaka's neon-lit playground, buzzing with nightlife and local flavors. From the iconic Glico Man sign to mouthwatering takoyaki stalls, this vibrant district is a must-visit if you are craving a taste of Osaka's energetic charm. Dive into the bustling streets at night, indulge in savory okonomiyaki pancakes, and soak up the lively atmosphere that makes Dotonbori a favorite hangout spot for both locals and tourists.

Hozenji Yokocho is a charming alley in Osaka, Japan, known for its traditional atmosphere and cozy eateries. Nestled near Hozenji Temple, this hidden gem offers a variety of dining options, from local street food to authentic Japanese cuisine.

Menya Yamahide Sakaisuji-hommachi is a popular ramen shop located in Osaka, Japan. Known for its delicious and flavorful ramen dishes.
The elderly guy running the shop is super friendly despite not speaking English. & the food is delicious.

Katsuo-ji Temple, located near Osaka, is a bustling and sprawling temple filled with thousands of colorful daruma dolls, which are for good luck.
Be aware that the temple is a bit outside of Osaka & depending on where you are staying it can take up to 2hrs to get there. Unfortunately we realized it a bit too late so we had to skip it. (We got to go back for it!)
For ease of mind you can also book a tour which combines the Katsuo-ji Temple & Minoo Falls.

Minoo Park, located just a quick train ride away from Osaka Station, offers a chill three-kilometer hike through some sweet mountain scenery. The trails are paved for easy strolling, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely nature walk. In the fall, the park is extra popular thanks to its stunning waterfall backdrop against a fiery display of autumn leaves. Don't forget to grab some momiji tempura (fried maple leaves) from the refreshment stalls along the way!

The Umeda Sky Building in Osaka is a must-visit architectural gem that offers stunning 360-degree views of the city from its Floating Garden Observatory. Designed by Hiroshi Hara, this iconic landmark combines traditional Japanese aesthetics with futuristic design principles.

Menya Norio Minamisemba is a popular ramen spot in Osaka known for its delicious tsukemen and abura soba.

As this was our last meal we both ordered our personal favourites. Spicy ramen soup & mazesoba & it did not disappoint.
