Fortescue Falls is a tropical oasis hidden within the dry and remote Pilbara Region of Western Australia in Karijini National Park
The waterfall drops 20 metres over a series of red rock benches surrounded by vibrant red cliffs and lush green vegetation. The walk to the waterfall from the car park is 1.3 km return and involves 288 steps.
It's the spot where we chilled the most in the whole park. The rocks are perfect for laying down sunbathing, the water is just right for refreshing and the trees provide shade if needed. What more can you need?
Photo tip: best lighting is early in the day
It is part of a National Park so make sure you have a Western Australia National Park Pass
