The Louvre Museum is the world's most-visited museum and a historic landmark in Paris. It is home to famous works of art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. The Louvre is a universal museum with eight curatorial departments: Egyptian Antiquities, Near Eastern Antiquities, Greek-Etruscan and Roman Antiquities, Paintings, Sculptures, Decorative Arts, Prints-Drawings, and Islamic Art.

Address: 99 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France

Opening hours:

Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 9:00-18:00

Wednesday, Friday 9:00-21:00

CLOSED on Tuesdays

Ticket price: 22€

Please check the official website for updates on hours and ticket prices — it’s linked below.

Getting there:

LINE 1 Métro station Louvre-Rivoli

LINE 7 Métro station Palais Royal-Musée du Louvre

Tip: The Pyramid Entrance is always crowded so I highly recommend entering the museum via the Carrousel du Louvre Entrance. The Louvre is Earth's largest museum, so expect to spend at least 2-3 hours inside.
