Nuwara Eliya can feel like a completely different country at times. The name "Little England" has inspired many new buildings to be built in the style of old English ones, with varying degrees of success.
The main thing that feels like the UK here is the weather. Its much colder and often grey and wet. The tea plantations are gorgeous on the dramatic landscape though.
