The real story that gives us locals goosebumps is the 'Miracle of Mosta,' when a WWII bomb fell through the dome during a service and didn't detonate—you can even see a replica of it. For a truly special experience, take the climb up the narrow spiral staircase to the inner balcony for breathtaking views of the church's interior and the town beyond. The entrance fee is 5€, which also gives you access to the nearby WWII air-raid shelter.
