The Cais da Ribeira, a riverfront promenade along the Douro in the vicinity of the Dom Luis I Bridge, is considered one of the liveliest parts of town.

Cais da Ribeira located in Porto, Portugal is an iconic and bustling quayside known to all. Boasting colorful buildings that were once warehouses and merchant buildings, it now houses a variety of hotels, restaurants, gift shops, artisan workshops and cafés. Visitors come to take advantage of the incredible sights, attractions, restaurants, and street entertainers making the riverfront a hive of activity. Not only that, visitors can experience a unique trip on one of the tour boats that offer up and downriver cruises as well as exploring the Praça da Ribeira with its curious bronze water feature, “O Cubo”, and ascension to the top of the hill using the Elevator da Ribeira found next to the Taberna da Lada. The sights are plentiful and fun for everyone!
