Fratarica is a small alpine stream and one of the less visited places in the area, also because of the steep terrain leading towards the waterfalls. There are multiple waterfalls along the trail, two being of more interest to photographers, Dvojna Latvica (double milkbowl) and Katedrala (the cathedral).
The terrain is very steep and demanding here and some shots are only possible with a little bit of climbing involved. However if you take it slowly and keep a safe distance from the gorge you will still find it a beautiful experience. Waterproof shoes are a good idea for this spot. Wide angle lens is the best choice here as well as a polarising filter and a tripod. Spring and autumn are both nice but the stream can be quite dry in summer, causing waterfalls to be less interesting. It is much easier to photograph here in overcast weather or in the morning when there is no sun shining through.
