Boaventura is an untouched gem of Madeira. One of the most remote places with pristine nature and a unique atmosphere.

This hike along Levada dos Tornos in Boaventura starts at a place called Lombo do Urzal and ends at Fajã do Penedo.

In my opinion, this hike is just as good as popular trails like Levada do Rei or Levada Caldeirão Verde. However, you are unlikely to meet other people on this trail, and the views will be much more breathtaking.

It includes all our favorite components of a good hike in Madeira: laurel forests, levadas, waterfalls, stunning panoramas, and a deep connection with nature.
