This stunner of a building was originally opened in 1928 as the Buenos Aires Central Post Office - known as the "Palacio de Correos" which was in operation until 2002. It went through years of renovations and re-opened as a cultural center in 2015.

What's in a name: The Polarizing Changing of the Name

It was originally named Centro Cultural Kirchner in honor of President Nestor Kirchner who oversaw its renovation. The name was polarizing, as it's not allowed to name a monument after a president so soon after his term. The new name is no less polarizing however, being given by Milei and one of Kirchner's opposition parties. Luckily his name - Freedom Palace or "Palacio Libertad" only applies to the building.

The cultural center's new name is "Centro Cultural Domingo Faustino Sarmiento".
