Balmedie Beach, located the Aberdeenshire coast is a stunning stretch of sandy shoreline. The sandy dunes and coastline stretch for 14 miles and is an easy drive from the city of Aberdeen on the A90 road North.
The sand dunes are protected and their eco system is home to 225 species of birds.
Balmedie is great to blowing away the cobwebs and I would personally pack a wee picnic for you to enjoy. Spend the time beach-combing, seal-watching and if you are lucky some dolphin spotting!
There is a toilet block at the main car park.
