📍 Northwestern Rila, above the village of Govedartsi (1751 m above sea level)

🚗 Govedartsi track – 3 km from the village. Park at the end of the road, at the beginning of the route

🥾 There are two options: along a dirt road (longer, but smoother) or along a steep forest path with green markings. After about 30 minutes you will reach the track, then – along it up and to the right to the hut.

🕒 About 1 hour in the direction

💧 There is water only in the hut

🧒 Suitable for children: Yes, as long as they can walk the distance. There are no dangerous sections.

💡 Tip: The hut has two buildings – old and new. There is food, tea and a cozy atmosphere. It works all year round, but it is good to call in advance. An excellent base for Mechit peak, Kobilino Branishte shelter and longer routes to Malyovitsa and Strashnoto Lake.
