About Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring

Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring is an area of the desert just outside Dunhuang - and is the reason that the area is on the map.

The big sand dunes that surround the picturesque crescent-shaped lake is the perfect spot to watch sunrise or sunset.

The park also features a few walking trails and desert activities for when you want to explore the desert landcape.

Getting to Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring

The park is just outside of Dunhuang centre and there is a long, straight road leading right there - making it easy to grab a cab right to the gate.
