How to get here- This is one of the most difficult places to reach. From Karakol, it will take about 6 hours to drive, through high mountain passes and on roads that are not maintained. Follow the highway until you reach the border control post. Once you pass them, you will take the road going left. You will drive alongside a river on a gravel road until you reach the plateau. Follow the coordinates I have pinned to see where is a safe place to camp. The reach the iconic photo spot, continue on this road for another 10KM or so, until you see a spot to stop for photos. You must bring extra gas, you will not have enough will one full tank to make it back to Karakol. There are no safety services available out here, you must be prepared.

What to do here- Sary Jaz is an adventure in itself. The long, off-road drive proves to be difficult. Once you make it to your campsite, enjoy the Tien Shan Mountain range and wild horses roaming around you
