Vermilion Lakes sits just west of Banff along Vermilion Lakes Road. You can drive, bike, or walk from town. The road runs right beside the water with plenty of pullouts where you can stop to explore or simply enjoy the view.

Visiting Vermilion Lakes is free. There is no admission fee, & the area is open year round.
