Sossusvlei may look like a wide landscape, but wide-angle lenses rarely capture its true scale. Instead, rely on mid-range to telephoto lenses (100–800 mm) to compress distance, layer dunes, and isolate trees against the sand. A sturdy tripod is essential — the valley is often windy, and long lenses amplify even the smallest movement.
