Barrs Falls is a scenic reserve located in the Catlins coastal area of Otago. This area is filled with lush forests and wetlands surrounding two waterfalls which make for an amazing sight. Visitors to this area only need a short 10 minute walk, through the mystic forest, to reach the falls and enjoy the spectacular view from the overlook platform. For those looking for a more leisurely stroll, it's only 3km south of Owaka on the Southern Scenic route. Here you can take your time and explore the misty forest at your own pace. There will also be plenty of parks nearby to park your car!
