Regarded as Taiwan's most beautiful train station, Duoliang Station overlooks the graceful Pacific Ocean. Railway fans gather up from around the world for this sanctuary, and web celebrities and bloggers come here to check-in.
At 417.5K of Provincial Highway 9, the station leans against a hill penetrated by a tunnel. While building the station, the South Link Line Construction Department raised the station up with high steel racks to fit the hill, and set waiting rooms and ticket booths on the first floor and platforms on the second. Originally, two trails were here for trains to pass. But because the South Link Line trains were just a few, the hill-side trail was removed soon after the station was inaugurated. As fewer visitors took the trains, in July 2006, the station finally closed.
