St. Joseph Cathedral in Hanoi is a 19th century neo-Gothic church right on the edge of the Old Quarter, easy to reach on foot from Hoan Kiem Lake.

It is a functioning cathedral, so please be respectful if you visit during worship. We found it a unique building to see, but with the kids, we didn't stay long. So you don't need to spend anything more than 20 minutes here.

Alternatively, you can enjoy cathedral views from one of the many surround cafes and restaurants that face St. Joseph Cathedral.
