Þórufoss is a stunning waterfall near Reykjavik and not too far from the famous Golden Circle route. We stopped here on our way to the Glumyr waterfall hike, and it made a great short stop to break up the journey. It's mostly known as being a filming location for Game of Thrones, but it often flies under the radar compared to some of the more popular waterfalls in the area. It's definitely a bit of a hidden gem, but it creates a picturesque scene that’s perfect for photography. The area around Þórufoss is relatively quiet, making it a great place for those looking to escape the crowds. Plus, the drive there offers some pretty scenic views.
