Munich's transport network is excellent, and you will not need to use a car at any point—even when visiting more distant attractions.

At metro and train stations, as well as bus stops, you can consult the available maps; Zone M corresponds to the white area in the city center. If your destination lies outside this area, be sure to purchase the appropriate pass.

The subsequent zones are numbered 1 through 12; you can also purchase specific tickets covering travel solely between certain zones—please refer to the transport maps on this website.

The Gesamtnetz area encompasses the entire region of Munich and its surrounding municipalities.
