Hofskirkja is a charming turf church located in the Öræfi region of South-East Iceland. It's actually the youngest turf church in the country, and there are only six remaining. The church was built in 1883-1885 and has a unique design with rock walls and a roof made of stone slabs covered in turf. Inside, you'll find beautiful painted panels and a chancel screen separating the nave and choir. It's a real gem and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
