Reykjavík Cathedral, also known as Dómkirkjan í Reykjavík, is the main church in Reykjavík, Iceland. It serves as the seat of the Bishop of Iceland and is the parish church for the old city center. The cathedral was originally built in 1787 but was later reconstructed in 1847 to its current form. It is a significant landmark in the city, located next to the parliament house, Alþingishúsið. The cathedral's organ, with three manuals and thirty-one independent voices, was built in Berlin. Each session of Iceland's parliament begins with a Mass at the cathedral, highlighting its historical and cultural importance in the country.
