Mensagem de BERLINSKO

silent green Kulturquartier is a distinctive cultural venue located in Berlin's Wedding district, housed within the historic premises of the city's first crematorium, built in 1911. Since its transformation in 2013, silent green has evolved into a vibrant interdisciplinary hub for the arts, encompassing music, film, visual arts, and beyond.

A Historic Space Reimagined

The original crematorium, with its 17-meter-high octagonal domed hall, has been thoughtfully repurposed to host a variety of cultural events. This architectural landmark now serves as a venue for concerts, readings, and film screenings, offering an intimate atmosphere with exceptional acoustics. Complementing the historical structure is the Betonhalle, an underground concrete hall completed in 2019, providing 1,600 square meters for large-scale exhibitions and multimedia productions.

A Collaborative Creative Campus

silent green is home to a diverse community of over 100 creative professionals and organizations across 13 rental units. Notable residents include Musicboard Berlin, the !K7 music label, the Harun Farocki Institute, and the Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art. This collaborative environment fosters cross-disciplinary projects and innovative artistic endeavors.

The café emphasizes seasonal and regional ingredients, serving a variety of dishes that cater to diverse dietary preferences. With its peaceful garden setting, MARS provides an ideal spot for lunch, coffee, or weekend brunch.
