Colosseo
cultura
Iconic amphitheater
The Colosseum, also named the Flavian Amphitheater, is a large amphitheater in Rome. It was built during the reign of the Flavian emperors as a gift to the Roman people.
Construction of the Colosseum began sometime between C.E. 70 and 72 under the emperor Vespasian. It opened nearly a decade later and was modified several times in the following years. The massive structure measured approximately 189 by 156 meters (620 by 513 feet), towered four stories high, and included eighty entrances to the amphitheater—seventy-six for the patrons, two for participants of events, and two exclusively for the emperor to use. The sheer number of entrances proved to be necessary: the Colosseum could hold more than 50,000 spectators at its maximum capacity. A series of earthquakes during the fifth century C.E. damaged the structure, and it also suffered from neglect. By the 20th century, nearly two-thirds of the original building had been destroyed. Nevertheless, a restoration project began in the 1990s to repair the Colosseum. Today it is one of modern-day Rome’s most popular tourist attractions, hosting millions of visitors a year.
To get here you need to take Metro line B and get off at the "Colosseo" Stop.
HOW TO GET TICKETS IN ADVANCE:

Via dei Fori Imperiali
cultura
One of the most remarkable roads
The Via dei Fori Imperiali is one of the most remarkable roads in the historic centre of Rome, running straight from the impressive Colosseum the Piazza Venezia. Built under Fascism in the period between 1924 and 1932, the road was a celebration of the glories of ancient Rome as it covered parts of the Forum of Trajan, Augustus and Nerva, formerly hidden under demolished buildings. It was opened on 9 April 1932 by Mussolini, who rode a horse and led a military parade with veterans of World War I. Nowadays, although still subject to heavy motor vehicle traffic, the southern part of the road has been closed off to private cars, providing a unique opportunity to take in the ancient monuments dotted along it.
Piazza Venezia
cultura
Vibrant and lively landmark in Rome
Piazza Venezia is a vibrant and lively landmark in Rome, Italy. This popular square is as historic as it is beautiful. It is known for its many thoroughfares, intersected with sites like the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Via del Corso. Famous landmarks include the Palazzo Venezia, built by Venice's Cardinal, the Altare della Patria and part of the Monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, and ancient remains from the emperor Hadrian, recently unearthed during Metroline excavations. Piazza Venezia, just steps away from popular attractions like the Roman Forum, Pantheon and Capitoline Hill, makes an amazing spot to enjoy rich history and an exciting atmosphere.
From Piazza Venezia to the Pantheon (next destination i this guide) the road to take is normally "Via Del Corso" but I would highly recommend to take side roads as it's usually really busy, this way you get a more authentic feel of the place.
Pantheon, Roma
cultura
Iconic dome is the largest ever constructed
The Pantheon in Rome, Italy is an incredible Ancient Roman structure and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. Built by Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa in 27 BC, this temple was rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian sometime between 118 and 128 AD. The Pantheon is renowned for its size, construction, and design, as the iconic dome is the largest ever constructed, measuring at 142 feet in diameter and 71 feet high above its base. Inside, the immense circular space is lit solely by the light seeping through the 27-foot oculus opening at the center of the dome, thus making it the first building to favor the interior. Other than mounting a frieze of stucco decoration late in the Renaissance period, the building remains entirely true to its original form with its colored marble walls and pairs of columns that emphasize the immensity of its rotunda. The awe-inspiring Pantheon will surely leave its visitors with a beautiful memory.
TICKETS: The visit to the Pantheon is completely free, don't get fooled by people outside of it that sell fake tickets, there are no tickets. On weekends and festivity days you need to book through the website your slot (link below).
