Description:
Vestrahorn, often called “Batman Mountain” because of its sharp peaks, is one of Iceland’s most photographed locations. Found on the Stokksnes Peninsula near Höfn, it rises dramatically from the sea, framed by sweeping black sand dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. The area is also home to a Viking village film set, originally built for a movie project, which adds to the unique atmosphere. Vestrahorn is especially stunning at sunrise and sunset when the light reflects off the black sand and tidal pools. It’s a must-visit stop for photographers and travelers seeking Iceland’s wild, cinematic landscapes.

Price:
Access to Vestrahorn is on private land, and there is an entrance fee of about 900 ISK ($6–7 USD) per person, paid at the Viking Café near the entrance. Parking is included. Guided photography tours of the Stokksnes Peninsula typically cost $120–180 USD per person.
