The Fannaråken hike in Jotunheimen National Park is an adventure not to be missed! It offers spectacular views over the Hurrungane mountains and glaciers, ideal for solo hikers with no need for climbing or glacier equipment. The most popular route is through Turtagrø, where you can either stay at Turtagrø Hotel or park your car at the free parking lot across the road. The route climbs steeply, but an experienced hiker will find it manageable. On the way up the wind may pick up and you could even get lost in blizzard! However, your perseverance will be rewarded when at the summit, as you will have magnificent panoramas open before you. Don't forget to bring some warmer mittens- you won't regret it.
