This is Venice at its most casual and photogenic. Located just across from the historic Squero di San Trovaso (one of the last traditional gondola workshops), Al Squero is a tiny bàcaro where locals grab a glass of Select Spritz and a few cicchetti, then lean against the canal wall to enjoy the view.
No seating, no fuss — just good vibes and classic snacks like baccalà mantecato, sarde in saor, and tiny sandwiches. The light here is magical in the late afternoon, especially if you're a photographer.
Tip: Go around 4–6 PM for the perfect aperitivo moment and beautiful reflections on the water.
