The park is great for camping, with giant sycamores providing shade in its main campgrounds. Leo Carrillo State Park also offers a variety of hiking trails and programs for kids such as their junior ranger program and campfire programs. The park was named after Leo Carrillo (1880-1961), actor, preservationist and conservationist, and has become a beloved destination near Los Angeles that people of all ages can enjoy.
