Bridge of Mizarela is a medieval bridge that crosses the Rio Rabagão, between the civil parish of Ruivães and civil parish of Ferral, the Portuguese district of Braga.

Located in Montalegre, Portugal, Ponte da Misarela is an incredible medieval bridge that spans the Rio Rabagão. According to local folklore, it was built by the devil himself for a criminal who needed to escape pursuit. The bandit agreed to sign over his soul in exchange for a temporary bridge, but the wise priest assisting the criminal saw through the trick and used his Rosary and holy water to trap the devil in stone and transform the temporary bridge into permanent structure. Today the bridge stands as a beautiful reminder of its mythic origins. Visitors can still cross the river, where they will be surrounded by lush greenery and may catch a glimpse of a waterfall gushing over the rocks near the bridge. There are also plenty of nearby attractions such as Minas dos Carris and Drowned Village of Vilarinho da Furna. Ponte da Misarela is an interesting bridge with a magical story behind it, making it a must-visit destination for any traveler passing through the region.
