The swing is located in Alto de Trevim, the highest point in Serra da Lousã , in the district of Coimbra.
And what does a giant swing, made of wood, do at an altitude of 1200 meters? The project is part of an initiative called “This is Lousã” , designed by a group of young people, who aim to show the best that the Lousã region has to offer.
Alto de Trevim is the highest point in Serra da Lousã , at more than 1200 meters. You can climb the mountain from Lousã or Castanheira de Pêra, and on both routes you can expect steep climbs and numerous curves and counter-curves. Taking your time, you can admire the magnificent view and, if you're lucky, even see some wild animals. I'm talking, for example, about rabbits, foxes, wild boars or even deer. Therefore, drive with caution.
