Hallertau Brewery has two locations across Auckland, one in Clevedon and the other in Riverhead. Both brew great beer, have a laid-back atmosphere and serve seriously moreish food. Their Riverhead Biergarten is perfect for a post-West Coast walk pint or a lazy Sunday catch-up with your friends.

Plus, they’re family and dog-friendly, which is massive news in New Zealand, which is notoriously dog-restrictive compared to countries like the UK.

How to get there

Hallertau Riverhead is just 20 minutes from Auckland CBD; it’s super easy to get to by car, with plenty of free parking on-site. Public transport isn't really an option, but taxis and Ubers are easy to find in Riverhead. Just remember, if you’re drinking, you must not drive!
