The Thousand Peaks Resort Campground is a family owned campground near the Golden Skybridge. It is relatively new and highly rated.

Full disclosure - I have not stayed here but I have heard great things. There are limited options for camping in the Golden area for travellers who cannot go on unpaved roads. This campground is very quiet compared to the municipal campground in town.
