Neuschwanstein Castle, one of Germany’s most famous and beautiful castles, is perfectly nestled in the Ammergau Alps. King Ludwig II chose this stunning location to build his dream castle.

There are numerous photo spots around the castle. One of the most beautiful views can be captured from a nearby forest road, accessible via a short hike starting at the parking lot. Another classic viewpoint is the Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge), offering breathtaking views of the castle framed by the dramatic Pöllat Gorge.
