🏯 Dali Ancient Town: città antica tra storia e natura

La Dali Ancient Town (大理古城 – Dàlǐ Gǔchéng) è una delle città antiche più famose dello Yunnan, classificata AAAAA (5A) nel sistema turistico cinese. Situata ai piedi delle montagne Cangshan e affacciata sul lago Erhai, fu capitale del Regno di Nanzhao e successivamente del Regno di Dali (VIII–XIII secolo).

Passeggiando tra le stradine lastricate si ammirano antiche case in pietra e legno, botteghe artigianali, mercati e caffetterie in stile locale. Le imponenti mura cittadine e le porte d’accesso restaurate ricordano il glorioso passato della città. Dali è anche un centro culturale del popolo Bai, con tradizioni vive nella musica, nell’arte e nella cucina.

Dali Ancient Town (大理古城 – Dàlǐ Gǔchéng) is one of Yunnan’s most famous historic towns, rated AAAAA (5A) in China’s national scenic site system. Nestled between the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake, it was once the capital of the Nanzhao Kingdom and later the Dali Kingdom (8th–13th century).

Its stone-paved streets are lined with traditional Bai-style houses, artisan shops, markets, and cafés. The restored city walls and gates reflect its glorious past, while local Bai culture still thrives in music, crafts, and cuisine.
