Skarvanes is a quaint village located on the west side of Sandoy island. Thanks to the newly opened subsea tunnel, it now takes just 40 minutes to reach Skarvanes from Tórshavn. Many of the houses in this village serve as summer residences. One of Skarvanes' notable attractions is its breathtaking view of islands like Lítla Dímun, Stóra Dímun, and Skívoy. Additionally, the village boasts a popular hiking trail that leads to the neighboring village of Dalur. This hike typically takes around 2 hours.
