Rifugio Saoseo CAS is a small family-friendly mountain hut in the beautiful Val da Camp valley near the Swiss/Italian border. This area is well known for the gorgeous mountain lakes Saoseo and Viola, which are a short hike from the hut.

You can ride a private bus directly to the hut, making it possible for families and beginner hikers to enjoy the Swiss mountain hut experience without a long, difficult hike.

From the hut, it's a very short hike to the gorgeous Lake Saoseo, just 20 mins. We suggest a 2 hour loop that also visits Lake Viola higher up the mountain (see hike info).

Prices start at CHF 77/adult with half-board, which includes breakfast and dinner. Discount for SAC members, youth and children. You can also book just the bed without meals.

For a family of four, you would pay about CHF 300 - 340 for a private 4 bed room, incl. half-board.

They offer 4 and 6 bed rooms (extra fee to book those) or dormitory bunks. The hut has shared toilets and showers (CHF 5/shower). You must bring a sleeping bag liner or you can rent one at the hut.

Meals can be vegetarian upon request.
