When visiting the Rochers de Naye mountain viewpoint above Montreux, you get fantastic views on the train ride itself and from the viewpoint next to the mountain train station.

But for even more spectacular views, you can do a short walk up to an enclosed observation deck at the top of the peak. From here, you can peer over the cliffs, enjoying panoramic views across Lake Geneva and mountains in every direction.

💡If you find this path too challenging, instead do the easy walk to the ridge viewpoint. This path is very flat and not difficult.

How to get there:

First ride, the mountain train from Montreux to Rochers-de-Naye.

From where the train drops you off, walk up to the restaurant terrace. Then follow the dirt path that crisscrosses up a grassy hill leading to the peak. At the top, there is a concrete deck enclosed by a fence, allowing you safely enjoying the view near the cliff's edge.

If you want to hike a bit, you can continue walking on the path that traverses the ridge to another nice viewpoint that looks back at the peak.
