Autisha Canyon is one of the most thrilling day trips from Lima! It's a mix of adventure, nature, and overcoming fears. The tour takes you deep into the canyon, where you’ll rappel down rock faces, cross suspension bridges, and eventually reach the stunning Sheke Waterfall hidden inside a cave-like chamber.

We created a full YouTube video on our experience. Rappelling into the canyon pushed us out of our comfort zones (especially Danny, who faced some real fears with courage), but seeing the waterfall and having the overall sense of accomplishment made it all worth it. It felt incredible to trade Lima’s bustle for this raw, natural setting just a few hours away.

Pro Tip: Wear good hiking shoes and bring layers (it can get chilly in the canyon). This is an adventure best booked with a guide, since the terrain and rappelling gear require experience.
