Hljóðaklettar, located in the north, is a very special and mysterious area full of unique rock formations. There are many possible hiking trails around the area so make sure you have an hour or two to get the most out of your time there!

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A collection of basalt columns and unique formations in the northeast.

  • Best season: Summer and fall are my favourite.

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: There are a few different hiking options around the area so you can easily spend an hour or two there.
