Ásbyrgi is a magnificent canyon located in northeastern Iceland. At the bottom of the canyon, there's a pretty little pond called Botnstjörn with fish in it. There are two main viewing platforms, one by the pond and the other above it.

  • Best season: Summer and fall (for the best colours).

  • Best time of day: Any.

  • Nice to know: Keep your eyes on the cliffs/sky and you might see some falcons.
