Rent a scooter

The best and most convenient way to explore Lombok is by scooter. It costs around 70,000–100,000 IDR per day. Just make sure to check the brakes, lights tire tread before driving off, especially for the hilly roads in the south. Take pictures of any scratches when picking up your bike from the rental shop.

Technically you should (and I suggest) bringing and international drivers license - however in all honesty I have not once been asked to show mine.
